ConnOS
Our family's own operating system. One place for who's doing what, and when.
What it is
Running a family is a lot of small handoffs: pickups, playdates, school forms, birthdays, groceries, trips. Most of it lives in our heads, our texts and five different calendars, and things slip. ConnOS is something John is building for our family so they don't.
"Hey Siri, add to ConnOS: playdate Saturday at 4." It lands on the family calendar with an owner.
Every to-do belongs to one person, and the right person gets a gentle nudge, not everyone.
Snap a school flyer; dates go on the calendar and the to-dos get split out.
"Alexa, ask ConnOS what I'm doing after school." Chores, badges, and a treat at the end of the week.
What it sounds like
"Added the sleepover, Friday at 6, to the family calendar. Does she need a sleeping bag?"ConnOS, after one sentence to Siri
For the rest of the family
- Grandparents, aunts, uncles: down the road you'll be able to see the kids' schedule when they're staying with you, and get a heads-up for birthdays and school events you'd want to know about.
- Your own family: if it works for us, we'd like to set it up for you too. Each family gets its own private space.
- Nothing to do yet. We're testing it on ourselves first.
Private by design
ConnOS runs on our own private cloud, not someone else's product. The data is ours, it's encrypted, nobody else sees it, and the AI parts never send or buy anything without one of us saying yes.
